Please note that stabilizer widths may vary by approx. ½”

NEW!  AUG. 2010 - available in 3 widths

A 2 oz biodegradable tearaway / washaway adhesive or "sticky" stabilizer with a VERY needle friendly adhesive.

It is used in "hoopless" or clamp type embroidery applications for hard to hoop items such as heavy towels, CD cases, backpacks, cuffs, collars, socks etc.

With Eco Stick embroidery in every area is possible.

Eco Stick being a tearaway / washaway you will not need to pick out stabilizer remnants from open designs as it will disappear after an initial wash.

It is used for fabrics that can be marred by the hooping process to avoid hoop "ring burn" like velvet, suede, ultra suede, some leathers , satins. and other delicate fabrics.

Eco Stick utilizes the latest and the most needle friendly adhesive available. It will avoid gummy build up and residue on needles and hoops which can lead to excessive thread breaks.

Please note that Eco Stick will support medium density stitch counts up to approximately 12,000 stitches. For higher and more dense stitch counts just add another layer of tearaway - hooped or "floated" under the hoop.

8" x 10 yds - Item # eco-8"       11.5" x 10 yds - Item # eco-12"       18" x 10 yds - Item # eco-18"

                  NEW!  SEPT. 2009

Fuse & Tear is a fusible tear-away stabilizer with a low melt fusible coating.  Developed for embroidery on light weight woven fabrics Fuse & Tear® is for shirt weight fabrics, linens etc eliminating any movement or slippage when they are hooped or while embroidering.  This fusible tearaway eliminates the need for messy spray adhesives which leave a residue on needles, hoops and fabrics.

The low melt 260 degree F fusible was made to prevent scorching or shrinking of fabric.
The fusible bond prevents movement or slippage leading to accurate registration.
This product offers a clean & easy tear from your design after embroidering.
• Use for dense designs on lightweight woven fabrics such as linens & shirt weight fabrics.
• Eliminates any shift or movement of the fabric while embroidering
• Will support approximately 6,000 stitch count of a moderately dense well digitized design.
• Tears away very cleanly.
• Eliminates messy or toxic spray adhesives!

Directions:
1. Fuse one layer of Fuse and Tear to the back of the fabric to be embroidered before hooping. Be sure to use a piece slightly larger than the hoop to insure proper hooping tension
*Important - Use a low to medium temp 260 degrees F - silk setting on your iron. A press cloth underneath your iron is recommended.
2. Hoop the garment and stabilizer. Try to achieve or approach a “tambourine skin” type tension in your hoop.
3. Embroider your design. If the design is dense or more than the suggested number of stitches float another layer of tearaway under the hoop and the first tearaway layer for extra support.
4. Once the design is complete tearaway the excess stabilizer.

14.5" x 10 yds - Item # fuse

                  NEW!  MARCH 2009

Fuse Cloud Cover Stitch over the back of a finished design to cover scratchy stitches on the backside of embroidery designs. It is soft and sheer - ideal for baby garments, golf shirts, or tees. Anywhere to avoid a scratchy irritant to the skin!
Cloud Cover has a very unique multi directional stretch. It bonds at a moderate temperature with your fabric but will in no way adversely affect the bulk or drapability of your garment.
It is also used on silks and satins in order to arrest any unraveling or shredding while sewing.

Iron should be set at 300 F or wool setting, iron for 8-12 seconds with a press cloth on top.  DO NOT USE STEAM!

Please note: Cloud Cover Stitch is not a stabilizer.

No Show "Diagonal" mesh is a nylon mesh stabilizer with a diagonal embossing pattern. It is more multi-directionally stable than previous versions. Therefore it will hold more stitches per single layer than the regular perpendicular patterned mesh leading to better and tighter registration or definition per single layer. If you add a mid weight tearaway as a sandwich it can hold an even higher stitch count!
1.5 oz.

Nylon Mesh Diagonal White #EB151
(similar to our No Show Nylon Mesh #C301)
11¾" x 25 yds - Item #eb151

Fusible Nylon Mesh Diagonal White #EB151 (similar to our No Show Fusible Nylon Mesh #C304)
14½" x 10 yds - Item #eb151-Coat 10y

By fusing the stabilizer to the back of the garment, the fabric will not move or stretch leading to better registration. The stabilizer is temporarily attached to the entire area where the embroidery will be stitched eliminates the use of messy spray adhesives which only "spot" tack and allow shifting of the fabric and are quite messy leaving residue on needles hoops and machine parts

We use a low melt fusible - 260 F so as not to scorch or shrink your fabric.

When you are finished with your embroidery, re-fuse the edges- peel back and trim around your design.

One layer should support 10-12,000 stitches of a moderately dense design.
If you sandwich a tearaway behind it, it should hold a lot more!

Use the fusible version to cover up scratchy stitches on the back of the embroidery.

Easy Embroidery for those hard to hoop items!

Press & Tear is a needle friendly pressure sensitive adhesive tearaway stabilizer. It allows you to embroider those hard to hoop items with rarely any residue on your needles. Perfect for those difficult jobs like: CD Cases, Cooler tops, heavy towels or blankets, collars and cuffs, socks, and heavy jackets or anything that is difficult to hoop.

Even tiny baby socks are easy with Press and Tear. You hoop the stabilizer…not the sock! Just place the stabilizer in the hoop, release the paper backing, and lay and smooth out the baby sock. Pin back the additional sock area out of the way and you have a smooth surface ready to embroider. When finished just release the embroidery, and remove any excess from the back. Releases with ease, but holds perfectly while embroidering.

The stabilizer is a 1.5 oz, dense, “wet laid “ non-directional, non-woven tearaway that contains needle lubricants to promote needle glide and reduce sticky build up. It tears away cleanly and easily leaving none of the fuzzies behind.

Eliminates the use of spray adhesives.

Embossed Cold Water Soluble Topping Film
Recommended for toweling or items with a pile or nap.

This product is great to control the pile on terry towels as well as nap on polar fleece or anything else that has pile or nap.    Simple to use, just put on the top of  of the fabric to control the pile or nap.  Stitching perforates the stabilizer making it easy to remove.  Any remaining stabilizer is easily torn away or dissolved with water.  Light weight, with no stretch in any direction.
Not recommended for lace or use as a backing stabilizer.  Please note that this product has a crispy feel to it and it is normal for it to perforate as you sew.
